Alma Cersius is a Languedoc cooperative based in Cers, in the Coteaux de Béziers area, bringing together winegrowers from Cers, Villeneuve, Portiragnes and, more recently, Puimisson. Founded in 1937 and reshaped through successive mergers, it works across three distinct terroirs—rolled pebbles, alluvial clay and schist—under Mediterranean influences shaped by the Cers wind. The cooperative focuses on rigorous parcel selection, matching grape varieties and harvest dates to each site’s aromatic profile, with Chardonnay, Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah among its key grapes. Since 2020, all bottled ranges have been certified HVE Level 3, reflecting a stated commitment to biodiversity, input reduction and water management. Alma Cersius combines this environmental focus with a creative, quality-driven approach in both vineyard and cellar.
