Weingut am Schlipf

Germany

Family-owned Weingut am Schlipf is run by sixth-generation brothers Johannes and Christoph Schneider in Weil am Rhein, at Baden’s tri-border area with Switzerland and France. Their vineyards on the Tüllinger Berg include limestone and clay-marl soils, with the historic Weiler Schlipf among their key sites. The estate focuses on Pinot varieties and locally relevant Gutedel, producing dry wines with coolness, finesse, and clear terroir expression. Sustainable viticulture, hand harvesting, reduced yields, spontaneous fermentation, gentle processing, long lees aging, minimal sulfur, and unfiltered bottling reflect a low-intervention philosophy. HAUS GUPI provides an experimental outlet, including unsulfured Gutedel and Pinot Noir wines in a fresh, precise Vin de Soif style. The winery was recognized as Weingut des Jahres 2025 and Visionäre des Jahres 2025.
