Margerum Wine

United States

Margerum is a privately owned Santa Barbara County winery founded in 2001 by Doug Margerum, who leads the estate with decades of regional food and wine experience. Based in Santa Barbara’s Funk Zone with winemaking in Buellton, the winery focuses on handcrafted, limited-quantity wines from its estate vineyard in the Los Olivos District/Happy Canyon area and from carefully selected Santa Barbara County sites. Farming at the estate is described as organic and sustainable, and the broader program emphasizes responsible farming, low sulfur additions, and no color, tannin, or flavor additives. Margerum is known for Rhône-style wines and food-friendly, age-worthy bottlings shaped by meticulous site selection and the region’s cool coastal influence.
