Weingut Kurt Angerer is a family-owned estate in Lengenfeld, Kamptal, with the Angerer family making wine in the region since 1848. Kurt Angerer owns and operates the winery, focusing particularly on Grüner Veltliner and Riesling while also producing distinctive red wines, including Syrah, Zweigelt and Cabernet Franc. Sustainable vineyard practices are used, with ongoing trials toward organic management, although no formal certification is noted. The vineyards occupy varied sites with loess, gravel, granite, loam and bedrock soils, and the wines are named to reflect these origins—Kies, Spies, Loam, Granit and Eichenstaude. Angerer is described as meticulous, self-critical and committed to expressing the individuality and mineral character of each terroir. The estate has received numerous national and international awards.
