Jauma is a family-owned natural wine producer based at Jauma Farm in Lenswood, Adelaide Hills, led by James and Sophie Erskine. Since its first harvest in 2010, Jauma has been noted as an early innovator in Australian natural wine. The farm is certified organic and grows vines as well as other fruit and vegetables, while the winery also sources organically grown grapes from sites in McLaren Vale, Clarendon and nearby areas. Winemaking is led by James Erskine with a zero-addition, minimal-intervention approach, including wild fermentation and no fining or filtration. Farming notes include no-till practices, co-cropping, compost teas and soil-focused management. Jauma also emphasizes connection to land and community through its farm experiences and Living Wine Collective.
