Feudi Spada is a young winery in Umbria focused on reviving abandoned land and preserving local vine heritage. The project is closely tied to Alessandro Leoni, an agronomist and oenologist from the Orvieto area who trained with Marco Esti and Riccardo Cotarella. The estate works with recovered old vineyards, including historic Grenache material linked to Orazio Spada, and has created a genetic reserve field from old mother vines to safeguard local biodiversity. Notes also mention plantings of varieties such as Syrah, Riesling Renano and Alicante. Farming is described as sustainability-minded, with no herbicides, insecticides, anti-botrytis treatments or chemical fertilizers, and careful vineyard work to keep interventions to a minimum. The wines are presented as quality-focused, elegant and precise, with strong attention to expressing the territory and each vintage.
