Domaine Leflaive is a historic, family-owned estate in Puligny-Montrachet, Burgundy, with roots dating to 1717. It is a pioneer in biodynamic viticulture, certified since 1993, and applies these principles across all its vineyards, including recent acquisitions in the Mâconnais. The domaine controls about 25 hectares (with 13.5 ha owned) and produces around 12,000 cases annually, including tiny quantities of prestigious Grand Crus like Le Montrachet. Managed by family descendant Brice de la Morandière, the philosophy emphasizes minimal intervention, respect for terroir, and long aging. Modern, environmentally conscious facilities, such as the carbon-neutral 'cave de l’œuf', complement traditional practices like horse plowing in select parcels.
