Château Siran

France

Château Siran is a long-established Margaux estate owned by the Miailhe family since 1859 and now led by sixth-generation Édouard Miailhe. Based in Labarde, it farms vineyards in Margaux, Haut-Médoc and Bordeaux Supérieur, with work overseen by Jean-Luc Chevalier and technical direction from Marjolaine Defrance. Sustainable farming has been in place since 2000, with HVE 3 certification since 2018, organic fertilizers, grass cover, plowing, manual harvests and careful plot-by-plot work within a broader biodiversity-minded estate. In the cellar, Siran follows a restrained, classic approach focused on gentle extraction, natural transformation and respect for terroir, aiming for elegant, silky, balanced wines. The estate is also known for its long-running tradition of illustrated artist labels.
