Albamar is a small, family-run estate in Cambados, Rías Baixas, owned and operated by winemaker Xurxo Alba Padín, his wife Isabel, and his father Luis. With about 2.5 hectares of owned vineyards and plans to expand, they also source grapes from neighboring growers, totaling around 16 hectares across Rías Baixas, Ribeira Sacra, and Valdeorras. The estate emphasizes natural, low-intervention practices, farming organically where possible, using spontaneous fermentations with native yeasts, and minimal sulfur to preserve the wines' Atlantic acidity and maritime character. Soils are primarily granitic sand and slate, with their main plot, Finca O Pereiro, featuring sand and clay. Albamar is certified Sustainable and Organic.
