Toro de Piedra is the Grand Reserve line of family-run Viña Requingua, founded by Santiago Achurra Larrain in 1961 and now spanning several generations. Based in Chile’s Central Valley, it sources grapes from the Curicó, Maule and Colchagua valleys. The vineyards use vertical trellising on volcanic soils, with hand-harvesting and sustainable practices, though they are not certified organic or biodynamic. French oenologist Benoît Fitte has led winemaking since 2001. The red wines are aged for 12–14 months in new American and French oak, reflecting a structured, oak-influenced style.
