Fattoria Nicodemi is a family-run estate in Notaresco, in Abruzzo’s Colline Teramane, managed by siblings Elena and Alessandro Nicodemi since 2000 after taking over from their father Bruno. The estate’s limestone- and clay-rich vineyards sit at around 250–300 metres, with old Abruzzo pergola vines alongside newer plantings. Certified organic since 2019, it avoids chemical herbicides, pesticides and fertilizers, maintains spontaneous grass cover, replants with massal selections from old vines, and runs its winery on solar energy. Nicodemi works exclusively with estate-grown indigenous Montepulciano and Trebbiano, seeking to express the territory through wines including classic bottlings, selected old-vine cuvées, spontaneous-fermentation cocciopesto amphora wines and the Neromoro cru.
