Michael Andres is a small, family-owned estate in Ruppertsberg, Pfalz, founded in 1993 and farmed biodynamically since 2006, with organic certification. Michael Andres and his family work the vineyards by hand, including hand harvesting, in varied Haardt soils of red sandstone, clay, loess, limestone marl and loam. Winemaking is based on wild-yeast fermentation and minimal intervention, with an unfiltered “-N-” line from small parcels. The wines aim to express the vitality and character of their terroir, emphasizing freshness, minerality and harmony between vineyard, people and wine.
