Kutch Wines is a family-owned California winery founded in 2005 by Jamie Kutch after he left Wall Street to focus on Pinot Noir from cool coastal sites. Working with vineyards in the Sonoma Coast and Santa Cruz Mountains, the winery also produces Chardonnay, emphasizing transparency, restraint, and faithful expression of place. Grapes are carefully sorted, moved by gravity, fermented with indigenous yeasts and native malolactic bacteria, and handled gently, including foot punch-downs. Wines age on their fine lees in entirely neutral French oak with minimal racking, preserving freshness, balance, and site character. Jamie and Kristen are developing an estate vineyard on their Sebastopol property using biodiversity-focused, low-input farming practices, including cover crops, composting, native plantings, and planned livestock integration. An approved estate winery and tasting facility will further anchor production on the property.
