Fruitière Vinicole d’Arbois is a historic cooperative in Arbois, Jura, founded in 1906 by local winegrowers and owned by its member growers. It produces a broad range of Jura wines from Poulsard, Pinot Noir, Trousseau, Chardonnay and Savagnin, including distinctive Vin Jaune aged under yeast for six years. Vineyard work follows integrated, environmentally respectful practices, including mechanical soil management, grassing between vines and organic fertilizers; some members farm organically. Winemaking takes place at Château Béthanie, with dedicated facilities for Vin Jaune. The wines aim to express Arbois’s clay-limestone marl terroirs and include floral and traditional whites, expressive reds, sparkling wines and sweet or powerful “jaunes.”
