Le Grain de Sénevé is a family-run micro-estate in Marchampt, Beaujolais, led by former nurse Hervé Ravera with his wife and four children. The domaine farms steep goblet-trained vines on granite, schist-rich volcanic soils at 400–500 metres, alongside orchards and polyculture with bees, geese and chickens. Viticulture is chemical-free and manual, with animal traction and no tractor use, and Hervé carries out the vineyard work himself. The estate has also rehabilitated chemically damaged vines. In the cellar, the approach is low-intervention: whole-bunch fermentation with semi-carbonic maceration, natural CO2 only, and wines bottled unfined, unfiltered and without added sulphur. No formal organic or biodynamic certification is mentioned.
