Founded in 1944 in Aragón, Bodegas San Valero is a member-owned cooperative rooted in Cariñena’s winegrowing heritage. Its several hundred winegrowing families cultivate vineyards marked by old vines, high altitude, abundant sunshine, and the Cierzo wind. The cooperative applies defined harvest-quality criteria, reduced-pesticide practices, and other environmental measures, including certified organic vineyards and pheromone-based pest control. Under the direction of winemaker Javier Domeque Sanz, its philosophy is to express the authenticity of the terroir through approachable, balanced, and enjoyable wines, combining tradition with sustainability and innovation.
