Weingut Johann Ruck is a small, family-owned winery in Franconia, operated by the Ruck family since its founding in 1839 and now in its eighth generation. Johannes Ruck is identified as owner and cellar master, with Johann Ruck increasingly taking over from his father, Hans. The family arranged for the estate to remain with one descendant by buying out Johann’s siblings. The vineyards focus on Silvaner, Müller-Thurgau, Burgundy varieties and Riesling, with Silvaner and Riesling among the principal plantings. The estate is associated with the VDP and TRIAS; specific farming practices are not reported.
