Suertes del Marqués is a family winery in the Valle de La Orotava, in northern Tenerife, founded in 2006 by Jonatan García Lima after two decades of selling grapes to other local cellars. Working with its own vineyards and fruit from growers in the same valley, the estate focuses on native varieties, especially Listán Negro and Listán Blanco, from volcanic soils and many old ungrafted vines, often trained in the traditional cordón trenzado system. The wines are shaped by a village-and-parcel philosophy, including Vino de pueblo and single-vineyard Vino de parcela bottlings. Farming is described as organic-minded and manual, avoiding systemic treatments, while winemaking follows a low-intervention approach with native yeasts, minimal racking, and restrained sulfur use.
