Perticaia is a family-owned winery in Montefalco, Umbria, founded by Guido Guardigli in 2000 and acquired by Luxembourg’s Becca family in 2018. The estate farms organically, with a focus on sustainability, environmental protection, and integration with the natural ecosystem. Winemaking is led by Alessandro Meniconi and centers on indigenous Umbrian varieties, including Sagrantino, Sangiovese, Trebbiano Spoletino, and Grechetto. Perticaia is particularly associated with elegant, finely tannic Montefalco wines and was an early advocate for the rediscovery of Trebbiano Spoletino. Its range includes Montefalco Sagrantino, Montefalco Rosso, and Spoleto DOC Trebbiano Spoletino, alongside extra virgin olive oil. Visitors can tour the vineyards and cellar and taste the wines with traditional Umbrian foods.
