Cantina Luca Leggero is an owner-operated winery in Villareggia, in Piedmont’s Canavese area, founded and led by Luca Leggero. Inspired by his grandparents and committed to the territory’s native varieties, Luca focuses on Nebbiolo—particularly the historic local Picotener clone—alongside Erbaluce and Dolcetto. The vineyards are managed organically, with Simonit & Sirch pruning, organic fertilization, cover crops, controlled grass cutting and natural treatments. Winemaking is rigorous and natural, with minimal additives and reduced sulfites, supported by modern, low-impact facilities using renewable energy. Wines are made to express the morainic, sandy soils of Villareggia, combining respect for tradition with precision and close attention to detail. The project also includes a social-farming initiative in Alta Langa.
