Domaine La Grange

France

Domaine La Grange is a fifth-generation family estate in the Languedoc-Roussillon, located on the edge of the Haut-Languedoc Natural Park between the Cévennes and the Mediterranean. Damien and Coralie Delecheneau, both trained in viticulture and oenology, farm organically and biodynamically, using horses instead of tractors, recycling water and reducing packaging. The vineyards surround three volcanoes and encompass a remarkable mosaic of limestone, schist, sandstone, clay-limestone, porphyry and alluvial soils. Flowering hedges, wild Garrigue and abundant wildlife support a balanced biosphere, while cool mountain winds and strong day-night variation encourage slow, elegant ripening. In the cellar, grapes are handled gently, lots are kept separate and fermentation relies on gravity, with minimal sulfur and additives; one cuvée is made without sulfur.
