Domaine Gallety is a family-owned estate in Saint-Montan, in the Côtes du Vivarais of France’s southern Rhône Valley. Founded in 1974 by Alain Gallety and his father, it is now run by Alain and his son David-Alexandre, who share a longstanding passion for the vineyard and wine. The 15-hectare, high-altitude vineyard has been organically certified since 1979, with practices including draft-horse plowing and careful manual work. Their wines reflect the terroir through meticulous grape-variety selection, old vines, low yields, and traditional handling. Grapes are loaded directly into fermentation tanks, and the wines are neither fined nor filtered, preserving their fine, concentrated character.
