Château Tertre de Courban is the second wine of Château La Galante, an independent owner-grower estate run by Christophe Pinard in Bordeaux. Pinard acquired the original vineyard in 1991 and now cultivates vines across Beychac-et-Caillau and Saint-Sulpice-et-Cameyrac, on predominantly clay soils with traces of loam and gravel. The estate is certified High Environmental Value level 3, reflecting careful management of biodiversity, plant protection, fertilizers and water. Winemaking takes place on site, with machine harvesting, cold maceration, natural fermentation and micro-oxygenation in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks. The wine remains tank-aged until bottling, emphasizing a direct, fruit-focused style shaped by practical, controlled cellar work.
