Château Les Vieux Ormes

France

Château Les Vieux Ormes is a six-generation Garde family estate in Lalande-de-Pomerol, Bordeaux, operated through Vignobles JP Garde within the Jean-Pierre Moueix group. Its clay and gravel vineyards, planted mainly to Merlot alongside Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon, average 35–40 years of age. The estate focuses on low-yield, quality production and follows a culture raisonnée approach, including manual de-leafing, green harvesting and soil tilling. Certified Sustainable HVE Level 3 since 2018, it combines rigorous environmental practices with hands-on vineyard work. The wines are made by oenologist Yannick Reyrel in collaboration with the Garde family.
