Château L’Étoile de Viaud is a Bordeaux estate with vineyards in Lalande-de-Pomerol, Fronsadais and Saint-Émilion Grand Cru, on sandy gravel and silt soils. The Chevalier family, who developed the property over four generations after acquiring vines in 1996, sold it to Vignobles K, Peter and Howard Kwok, in 2012. Its Lalande-de-Pomerol vineyard is planted predominantly to Merlot with Cabernet Franc. Winemaking combines a modern facility, double sorting and micro-oxygenation with natural fermentation using indigenous yeasts. The estate produces around 45,000 bottles annually. No specific sustainability certification is reported.
