Celler Kripta

Spain

Celler Kripta is a family-run winery in Sant Sadurní d’Anoia, Penedès, founded by Agustí Torelló Mata and now directed by his children Gemma and Àlex. Its certified organic, vegan viticulture is based on hand-harvested grapes, native Catalan varieties and respect for the territory, with vineyards spread across the Penedès. All grapes are vinified on the property using minimal intervention, low sulfite levels and proprietary yeasts. The winery is particularly associated with Macabeu and traditional-method sparkling wines given extended lees ageing, from a minimum of 24 months to more than 10 years for selected cuvées. The amphora-shaped Kripta bottle, first created in 1978, reflects the estate’s pioneering approach and long-standing commitment to distinctive, terroir-driven wines. Celler Kripta joined the Corpinnat collective in 2025.
