Weingut Grhl is a family-run estate in Weinolsheim, Rheinhessen, with viticultural roots dating to 1625 and now led by the 13th generation: Franziska and Johannes Grhl alongside their parents Angela and Eckehart. The family farms organically, with certification following the 2022 conversion, and emphasizes biodiversity, natural vineyard work, hand harvesting and the preservation of old vines. Its vineyards include limestone and iron-rich red sandstone sites, including notable locations along the Rhine front. Riesling, Sylvaner, Burgundy varieties and sparkling wines are central to the range. In the cellar, the estate favors spontaneous fermentation with native yeasts, extended maturation and traditional bottle-fermented Sekt, reflecting a hands-on, site-focused approach.
