Vinha Paz is a family-owned producer in Silgueiros, within Portugal’s Dão DOC near Viseu, managed by António Canto Moniz, whose family has farmed in the region for five generations. Its vineyards are planted on granite soils and include mature vines, with integrated production practices. The estate’s wines express Dão’s characteristic elegance, freshness and serene austerity, combining regional varieties such as Touriga Nacional, Alfrocheiro, Jaen, Tinta Roriz and Encruzado. Traditional foot treading in century-old granite lagares is used alongside modern technology, with wines aged in French oak. Winemaking is overseen by Sr. Magalhães Coelho, Portuguese Winemaker of the Year in 2003.
