Sergio Mottura is a multi-generational family estate in Civitella d’Agliano, Alta Tuscia, on the border of Lazio and Umbria. The Mottura family has owned the property since 1933, with Sergio leading the estate and his son Giuseppe involved in winemaking and management. Organic viticulture, certified since 1996, reflects a long-standing commitment to ecological farming, including cover crops, natural weed management and the absence of chemical fertilisers. Winemaking takes place between a modern facility and a historic cellar carved into tuff. The estate’s identity is primarily white-wine focused, with distinctive expressions of Grechetto, including fruit from centenarian vines, as well as Orvieto, Procanico and Chardonnay.
