Scout by Ado is a Mosel-focused collaboration founded in 2024 by Østjysk Vinforsyning and eighth-generation winemaker Adolph “Ado” Huesgen. Ado’s family has been involved in wine production in the Mosel since 1735, and he is based at Villa Huesgen in Traben-Trarbach. Working closely with Østjysk Vinforsyning, he selects grapes from the region’s steep slopes, including slate vineyards, to create Riesling wines that highlight Mosel’s character. The wines are intended to represent their region, offer quality at an appropriate price, and suit Nordic cuisine. They are bottled in lightweight bottles, reflecting Scout’s sustainability-minded approach.
