Maude is a family-owned, small-scale winery in Wanaka, Central Otago, New Zealand. Founded in 1994 by Dawn and Terry Wilson, it is now run by their daughter Sarah-Kate Dineen and her husband Dan Dineen, both winemakers. The estate centers on the 4 ha Mt Maude Vineyard, planted in 1994 and dry‑grown, supplemented by a few other small vineyards. Production is limited, with single‑vineyard Pinot Noir releases sometimes as low as 70 cases. The philosophy emphasizes minimal intervention, aiming to express site and season naturally. Though no formal sustainability certifications are noted, the hands‑on, family‑operated approach and focus on vineyard individuality mark it as an authentic artisan producer.
