Franco Pacenti

Italy

Franco Pacenti is a historic, family-owned estate in Montalcino’s Canalicchio area, producing Brunello di Montalcino and other wines from vineyards planted exclusively to Sangiovese. Founded by Rosildo Pacenti, the winery has been making wine since 1966 and is now led by the third generation—Lorenzo, Lisa and Serena—who continue the family’s traditional, terroir-focused approach while introducing new ideas. The estate has been organically certified since 2020 and uses practices including green manure, compost made from pruned shoots and mating disruption for pest control. Its wines aim to express Montalcino with character, elegance and strength, remaining faithful to each vintage and their origin.
