Domaine Pierre Teissonnière

France

Domaine Pierre Teissonnière is a family-owned estate in the Costières de Nîmes appellation of the Rhône Valley, acquired by Pierre Teissonnière and his family in 1963. Originally a mixed agricultural holding with fruit, vegetables, and livestock, it gradually became focused on vines and wine across successive generations. The estate’s vineyards lie on varied soils of rolled pebbles, loess, and gravel, with clay subsoils and cooling southern breezes contributing to freshness, balance, and complexity. The domaine emphasizes respect for the land through inter-row sowing, biodiversity, hedges, precision fertilization, and careful water management. Its stated aim is to produce authentic wines through rigorous work, humility, and close attention to the environment.
