Domaine Marcel Couturier

France

Domaine Marcel Couturier is a family-owned estate in Fuissé, in Burgundy’s southern Mâconnais, established by Marcel Couturier with its first vintage in 2005. Marcel works alongside his children Cladie, who oversees operations, and Auxence, who manages the vineyards and leads winemaking. The domaine focuses exclusively on Chardonnay and produces white wines from appellations including Mâcon-Fuissé, Pouilly-Loché, Pouilly-Fuissé, Saint-Véran and Mâcon-Vinzelles. Its vineyards are certified organic and biodynamic, with natural pest control, low-dose sulfur, hand harvesting and whole-cluster pressing. Wines emphasize old vines and varied terroirs, including limestone, clay, sandstone, schist and flint, and are aged in French oak for approximately 11 months.
