Spain

Comando G is a founder-owned joint venture established in 2008 by oenologists Daniel Jiménez-Landi and Fernando Garcia in the Sierra de Gredos, Castilla-La Mancha. The two founders remain the owners and winemakers, focusing on old Garnacha vineyards with vines around 50 to 80 years old. Farming is organic with biodynamic methods, with hand harvesting and work to revive abandoned plots, though no formal certification is listed. Their sites span sandy, granite, slate, quartz, and clay soils, and the wines are presented as single-vineyard bottlings that highlight each parcel.
