Italy

Giuseppe Sedilesu is a family-run winery in Mamoiada, at the heart of Sardinia’s Barbagia, founded by Giuseppe and Grazia Sedilesu and now managed by their children and grandchildren. The estate’s vineyards lie on granite-derived soils at elevations of roughly 500–900 metres, planted mainly to Cannonau with a small amount of native Granazza, traditionally trained as alberello bush vines. Farming is organically certified and focused on respect for the land, with limited tillage, green manure, natural water reserves and manual harvesting. Fermentations are spontaneous, driven by native microflora, and the wines are marketed as low-sulphite organic. Bottling began in 2000 after decades of bulk production, with the range centred on age-worthy Cannonau and distinctive expressions of Granazza.
