Founded in 1884 in Saumur, Veuve Amiot continues its historic tradition of producing sparkling wines in the Loire Valley. Originally established by Elisa Amiot and managed by her family, the house is now a subsidiary of the Compagnie française des grands vins. Winemaking is led by Hélène Moreau, who presents the historic Cuvée 1884. Veuve Amiot combines traditional methods with an environmental policy covering water, energy, carbon and waste. Most vineyards hold HVE Level 3 certification, while the organic Clos Elisabeth vintage, launched in 2022, reflects a further commitment to ecological farming. IFS and BRC certifications support traceability and food-safety standards.
