Masseria Borgo dei Trulli is a privately owned estate in Sava, in Puglia’s Salento, within the DOP Primitivo di Manduria area. Founded by Alessandro Pugliese, who purchased the property in 2017, it combines a restored 18th-century masseria with modern winemaking facilities. Around 55 hectares of vineyards are farmed organically, with lead enologist and winemaker Alessandro Michelon overseeing production and supplying vines from nearby parcels. The estate focuses on native Apulian varieties including Primitivo, Negroamaro, Vermentino, Malvasia Bianca, Fiano and Malvasia Nera. Certified by Equalitas, it emphasizes biodiversity, efficient water use, renewable energy, waste reduction and a traceable local supply chain; parts of the property lie within the Natura 2000 network. Guided tours and tastings are offered.
