Domaine Eric Rominger

France

Domaine Eric Rominger is a family-run estate in Westhalten, in Alsace’s Vallée Noble, founded in 1970 and now owned and operated by Corinne Rominger, with winemaking led by Eric Rominger. The domaine has farmed organically and biodynamically since 2000, with Ecocert and Demeter certification, manual vineyard work, and a holistic approach that includes free-range chickens. Its vineyards include the Grand Crus Zinnkoepflé and Saering and the Luss and Schwarzberg lieux-dits, with limestone, marl, and sandstone soils shaping distinct expressions. Fermentations use indigenous yeasts, followed by ageing on fine lees. The estate seeks to express each parcel’s character through individual cultivation and vinification, producing powerful, complex wines balanced by fruit, acidity, and structure, suited both to early drinking and cellaring.
