Founded in 1976 in Jurançon, Domaine Cauhapé is a family-owned estate led by self-taught winemaker Henri Ramonteu and his family, who acquired and developed the vineyard in the 1980s. Its southeast-facing hillsides are farmed under certified organic and Demeter biodynamic principles, with Vin Méthode Nature practices including hand-harvesting, indigenous yeasts and limited or no added sulfites. Henri works alongside an oenologist to craft wines from five local grape varieties, emphasizing chemical-free viticulture and natural winemaking.
