Château du Glana is a family-owned Bordeaux estate in Saint-Julien, run by the Meffre family since Gabriel Meffre bought it in 1961 and now overseen by Jean-Paul Meffre with Ludovic and Julien. Its vineyards lie on Garonne gravel soils in the Saint-Julien appellation, planted mainly to Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, with vines averaging around 25 years old. The estate traces its origins to the division of Château Saint-Pierre and has been steadily developed by the family, including major restoration work in 2003. With winemaking advice from Professor Denis Dubourdieu, the house aims to balance modern methods with tradition, producing balanced, velvety, complex wines that can be enjoyed young but also age well.
