Weingut Chat Sauvage, operated by Schulz & Schöttle eGbR and represented by Günter Schulz and Verena Schöttle, is based in Geisenheim/Johannisberg in the Rheingau. The estate specializes in Pinot Noir, with some Chardonnay, from warm steep sites in Rüdesheim and Lorch. Its wines are noted for finely textured or firmly grippy tannins, including those from Lorcher Kapellenberg, Lorcher Schlossberg, and Rüdesheimer Drachenstein. The difficult 2021 vintage was reportedly turned into excellent wines through considerable diligence and persistence. Available notes indicate predominantly red-wine production, but provide no reliable information on farming practices, sustainability, or broader ownership history.
