Andi Weigand is a second-generation, family-run winery in Iphofen, Franconia, cultivating around 10 hectares on Keuper marl and limestone soils. The organically certified vineyards, moving toward full biodynamic practice, use cover crops and no irrigation. Andi works alongside his father and a small team, producing natural, low-intervention wines from hand-picked grapes. An 80-year-old basket press and spontaneous fermentation in large, older German oak barrels support a terroir-focused style. The wines are made without added sulfites, filtration, or fining, reflecting the estate’s commitment to sustainable farming and minimal cellar intervention.
