Pertinace is a cooperative winery in Treiso, in Piedmont’s Langhe, founded in 1973 by Mario Barbero and local partners. Still collectively owned and run by its members, it is closely associated with Barbaresco, with production centered on Nebbiolo, including Barbaresco DOCG and Barbaresco MGA, alongside other red and white wines, Moscato, and some distillates. The house presents itself as rooted in the purest Piedmontese tradition, with careful vineyard work by members and aging in large Slavonian oak casks to highlight terroir differences. Notes also emphasize a strong sustainability focus, including responsible farming, biodiversity, energy and water saving, integrated production, and Equalitas and SQNPI certifications.
