Producer

Joaquin

Italy

Founded in 1999 in Montefalcione, Campania, Joaquin is owned and run by Raffaele Pagano, a winemaker descended from a 250-year-old Salerno family tradition. The estate works with ancient Aglianico and other pre-phylloxera vineyards, as well as a wind-exposed, limestone-rich Capri parcel co-planted with Greco, Falanghina and Biancolella. Its conservation-oriented approach includes preserving old-vine sites and restoring indigenous varieties on Capri. Each parcel is made into a single, terroir-focused wine, with production limited to roughly 5,000 bottles per cuvée annually. No formal sustainability certifications are noted.
