Franciscan Estate is a Napa Valley label with roots in California winemaking dating to the 1970s, founded by Justin Meyer and Raymond Duncan. Now owned by Gallo, it operates within the Gallo portfolio and sources fruit from more than 200 vineyard blocks, assembling numerous small lots for its wines. The producer is known for traditionally crafted wines with a modern, bold and smooth style, guided by the philosophy of letting “the fruit speak for itself.” Its portfolio includes Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc, with Chardonnay emphasizing fruit-forward, unoaked expressions. Early winemaking was led by Justin Meyer, while Janet Myers is the current winemaker.
