Folding Hill

New Zealand

Folding Hill is a boutique, family-owned producer in Bendigo, Central Otago, established by Dr Tim and Nikki Kerruish in 2001. Their north-facing vineyard, planted primarily to Pinot Noir with a later Chardonnay block, sits on free-draining gravel soils in a warm, dry site. The estate is BioGro-certified organic and follows a low-input, diversified approach that includes sheep and an orchard, with carefully managed low yields. Wines are made by hand according to an Old World, minimal-intervention philosophy: fruit is hand-picked, fermented with wild and inoculated yeasts, and bottled unfined and unfiltered. The focus is on single-vineyard Pinot Noir and Chardonnay expressing the distinctive terroir of Bendigo.
