Terre del Barolo

Terre del Barolo is a grower-owned cooperative based in Castiglione Falletto in Piedmont, founded in 1958 by Arnaldo Rivera and local winegrowers. Bringing together growers from across the Barolo denomination, it is rooted in shared ownership and the mutual goal of protecting and enhancing the viticultural heritage of the Langhe. The winery focuses on Barolo and other classic Piedmont wines, combining traditional methods with modern technology, including Barolo ageing in Slavonian oak casks. Notes highlight increasing organic viticulture among members, use of biological products and natural fertilizers, participation in SQNPI, organic certification, and broader sustainability work around biodiversity, energy efficiency, environmental management, and renewable energy. Its longstanding motto, “Vinum Vita Est,” reflects a cooperative identity tied to the territory and its history.
