Tarlao is a family estate in Aquileia, Friuli-Venezia Giulia, producing DOC Aquileia wines from seven hectares of vineyards within a ten-hectare property. Its strictly artisanal production includes Metodo Classico sparkling wines alongside white and red wines made from native and international varieties. The family’s approach combines careful expression of grape typicity and generations of familiarity with the land, while keeping abreast of oenological research; Francesco also brought experience from wineries in Aquileia, Argentina, and the United States. Aquileia’s ancient, UNESCO-listed vineyard landscape is central to the estate’s identity. Tarlao also runs Alla Frasca, a traditional restaurant in a rural house owned by the family since 1960. Its Traminer Pistrice 2024 received the Corona, the highest recognition from Vini Buoni d’Italia.
