Villa Raiano

Italy

Villa Raiano is a family-owned estate in Irpinia, Campania, founded in 1996 by brothers Sabino and Simone Basso and their brother-in-law Paolo Sibillo. Its organically certified vineyards, farmed since 2011 across several Avellino denominations, reflect Irpinia’s varied limestone, tuff, volcanic, sandy and clay soils. The estate focuses on native varieties and DOCG wines including Fiano di Avellino, Greco di Tufo and Taurasi. Winemaking is led by Sabino Basso, with the wider Basso family involved, and combines minimal-intervention, sustainable viticulture with gravity-fed cellar work and steel-vat aging. The wines aim to express differences in soil, altitude and exposure across the territory.
